Elena Rybakina is known for her calm nature and is one of the few players who does not show a lot of her emotions on the court. She has not celebrated any of her title wins in a crazy manner, including her Wimbledon triumph in 2022, where the celebrations included a fist pump and a smile.
At Wimbledon currently, the fourth seed is the only former champion remaining in the tournament and is expected to go all the way. She has reached the quarterfinals of SW19 on the back of four dominant wins.

Her recent win came against Anna Kalinskaya in the fourth round after the Russian retired mid-match when Rybakina was leading 6-3, 3-0. However, with her continuing to not be over-the-top in her celebrations, she was asked for the reasons behind it and if it’d ever change. She was coy in her response and said that it might change depending on the match and the occasion.
“I honestly don’t know. I think it depends a lot on the match and how it goes. For now, I didn’t have any crazy celebrations. So maybe one day, you’ll see you guys.
Elena Rybakina said at a press conference
When she was asked about the same after her title win at Wimbledon in 2022, Rybakina said that she did not know how to celebrate her win. She did, however, show emotions when she teared up while speaking about her parents.

Elena Rybakina wishes Anna Kalinskaya a speedy recovery after getting a walkthrough to the quarterfinals
Anna Kalinskaya had started brilliantly against Elena Rybakina in the fourth round of SW19. She had taken an early break point and was in a position to control the match. However, her injuries resurfaced and the 25-year-old faced trouble with her forearm.

Unable to handle the pain, Kalinskaya retired from the match, which saw Rybakina go through to the quarterfinals. The Kazakh later stated that she was not happy with the manner of the win.
Yeah, definitely not the way I wanted to finish the match and Anna, she is a great player and she was suffering with a couple of injuries and difficult to continue to play. Just wish her a speedy recovery.
Elena Rybakina said in her on-court interview
Rybakina will take on Elina Svitolina for a spot in the semifinals. They have split their four previous meetings, with their meeting coming at this year’s French Open, which Rybakina won in straight sets
