Ember Moon sends an emotional message to the WWE Universe after her NXT title win

On the latest episode of WWE NXT, General Manager William Regal unveiled the brand-new WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team titles. Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez were crowned the inaugural Champions. But they lost the titles on the same night to Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon.

Moon has faced a lot of obstacles in her career. She overcame all of them and is a current Champion. But she recently revealed that a short while ago, she had considered leaving WWE, and retiring from her wrestling career.

About an year ago, Moon was dealing with a severe ankle injury. The injury had put her in-ring career in danger, hence, it isn’t surprising that she considered retiring. She even mentioned in her Instagram post that she hadn’t held a WWE title in 3 years. All of this led Moon to consider leaving WWE.

Moon is now a part of the NXT roster

Finn Balor and Ember Moon’s journey has been quite similar. Both the Superstars were called up on the main roster, where they did impress the fans. But injuries derailed their momentum, and they were back on the NXT roster.

Balor capitalized on the opportunities he got on NXT, and has established himself as a fighting Champion. Similarly, Moon is also now a title holder. Moon holds the WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team titles along with Shotzi Blackheart. WWE has teased that their next challenge could be Candice LeRaw and Indi Hartwell.
