“This stuff is just so cringe like I physically am unable to watch it” – Emma Navarro gets mercilessly trolled as her rap video goes viral

World No. 21 Emma Navarro is hours away from making her debut for the USA national team. She is part of the squad for the 2024 BJK Cup qualifiers that will be played in Orlando. The Americans will go up against Belgium, eyeing one of the spots for the finals scheduled later in the year. 

As is the norm within the US team, the rookie is to give the speech before the match. As the two teams came together for a small event, Navarro was made to give her version of the rookie speech. The 21-year-old however found a creative way to make it more fun and interesting.

Instead of going for a formal speech, the youngster prepared a rap. It was nearly a minute-long rap and had everyone grooving and laughing at the attempt by Navarro. While she was embarrassed by her attempt, her teammates comforted her and cheered her on as she looked to have passed the rookie test.

Alongside World No. 5 Jessica Pegula, Navarro will be a singles player playing the two rubbers. Neither of the two would feature in the doubles tie. Taylor Townsend and Madison Keys will be pairing up for the doubles clash in the best-of-five format of the match.

With the matches in Orlando and on hard courts, the American players will be the favorite. With crowd support expected to be in their favor as well, the Yanks will look to breeze through and reach the Finals in hopes of winning their 19th title at the tournament.

Emma Navarro’s singing skills don’t impress fans

While the American players and the other audience looked to enjoy the rap by Navarro, the 21-year-old was subjected to massive trolling on social media. As the video went viral, social media users reacted to it and not everyone was impressed.

Many used the opportunity to mock her huge wealth given she is the daughter of billionaire Ben Navarro. Although she has never flexed it, she still gets criticized for it similar to Pegula. Others just poked fun at her singing skills which were not on par with her tennis skills.

Navarro would like to ignore the jibes directed at her as she has bigger fish to fry when she dons the national uniform. She will make her debut in the second rubber of the tie taking on teenager Hanne Vandewinkel.
