I beat two top 10 players within 2 weeks, which is a pretty big deal for me… I think I have to take confidence from that. 6 months ago when I was starting out after surgery, I would’ve signed for 4th round at Wimbledon. Of course, I’m disappointed. Of course, I want more. Everything happens for a reason. It just fuels the fire and makes me more hungry.
Emma Raducanu said at a press conference

Jessica Pegula and Maria Sakkari are the two Top 10 players Raducanu defeated on grass this season. While she beat the former in the second round in Eastbourne, Raducanu went past the latter in the third round at SW19.

While Emma Raducanu expressed pride at her performances on grass this season, she also stated her disappointment about losing the chance to go the distance at Wimbledon. She said that the stiffness in her back meant she could not play to her full potential in her fourth-round match.

Raducanu also credited Sun for her outstanding performance while attributing her defeat to the injury.

I've been managing a stiff back since yesterday. I was feeling it during the match. I think especially on serve, it was affecting me a bit. It was a difficult match. I think Lulu played really good tennis. I gave my best, I fought really hard. Her tennis was better and she deserved the win.
