I'm just really into it at the moment. I just love the sport. I love tennis. It's kind of just taken over me and I've really rekindled a light and a fire inside of me. Just very happy and enjoying it a lot.
Emma Raducanu said at a roundtable at the Rothesay International

Raducanu has been granted a wildcard for Wimbledon. She returns to the All England Club after two years, overcoming wrist and ankle surgeries last year. The former top 10 player impressed in 2021 by reaching the fourth round, marking a breakthrough in her career.

Another wildcard recipient is Naomi Osaka, a former World No. 1, making her return to SW19 after five years. Caroline Wozniacki, also a former top-ranked player and now a mother, joins the Japanese star in the main draw. Angelique Kerber, a former Wimbledon champion and ex-World No. 1 who took a break to start a family, has also received a wildcard entry.

Francesca Jones, Heather Watson, and Yuriko Miyazaki are among the British players who have been awarded wildcards. Raducanu and the other wildcard holders aim to make an impact in the prestigious tournament, having shown promising form in recent grass-court events.

For me it was quite clear from the beginning, I am very determined and I want to do things at my own pace and in my own way, not like a diva, but giving priority to my body and my health. If I am in shape and if I give I have 100% knowledge that great things can come, but at the moment I feel like I can't afford to put any more stress on my body and take any more risks, especially given my recent history with injuries.
