For me, it was pretty clear. I am very single-minded and I do things my own way and in my own time whenever I want, not in a diva way, but just prioritizing my body and my health because I know if I am fit and giving my 100 percent I know that great things are coming. I just don’t think there is any need to put any additional stress on my body or any risk, especially with my history.

Emma Raducanu focused on grass-court swing

While Emma Raducanu had already mentioned that she is focused on the grass-court swing after her comeback, this decision from the 21-year-old has further strengthened her claim. As the 2024 Paris Olympics will be played on clay, Raducanu does not want to take the risk of switching from grass to clay.

The Briton recently made her comeback to the tour after an elongated break due to injuries and the rehabilitation process. Raducanu also missed the 2024 Roland Garros as she wanted to prepare for the grass-court swing.

She finally resumed her tennis at the Nottingham Open where the 21-year-old made it to the semifinals. Raducanu played some good tennis at the WTA 250 tournament and even in the semifinal, she pushed the eventual champion Katie Boulter to her limits. The 2021 US Open champion won the opening set 7-6 (13).

Now, the biggest target for Raducanu is the 2024 Wimbledon Championships. The Briton has not been able to leave a mark at her home Grand Slam tournament and thus, she is focused on improving her record.
