My tips for anyone starting is, at the beginning, just like everything, you may feel it's hard and giving up, but don't get discouraged. If you have a dream, go for it! And don't let anything get in the way of that.

The physical side to tennis both in the men’s and women’s game has become a hugely significant part of the sport. However, the mental component is just as important if not more due to the nature of tennis, the quick momentum shifts, losing every week in front of yourself and also the public who comment without knowing the facts of what really goes on behind the scenes, it requires resilience to deal with.

Notably, Raducanu seems to be speaking from a lot of experience as the 21-year-old has struggled on both fronts as of late. While the Briton has been hit with recurring injuries in the last two years, her performance has also nosedived, which has led to criticism.

Nevertheless, she is back competing on the tour and looks in good rhythm as of now. Raducanu has started the grass-court swing with a final qualification at the Nottingham Open. The Briton lost to compatriot Katie Boulter, but not before pushing the defending champion to her limits. The focus now shifts to Eastbourne International.
