The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off a solid victory over the top-ranked offense of the league, the Baltimore Ravens. Despite the competitive play by the Ravens, this defeat showcased vulnerabilities that raised questions about their championship viability. After witnessing their 8-5 standing season, Emmanuel Acho made quite a controversial analysis of this season’s Baltimore.
While talking about the Ravens’ recent 24-19 defeat against the Eagles, the former NFL linebacker suggested that the hype surrounding the Ravens may have been premature. While giving his unfiltered take, Acho made a bold comparison between the 2024 Ravens with the 2023 Eagles– whose season collapsed after Week 10, eventually getting eliminated in the wildcard round of the playoffs.

Highlighting just like how the Eagles lost several of its key figures following the Super Bowl appearance of 2023 February; the Ravens too lost their leading safety Geno Stone, Defensive Coordinator Mike Macdonald, linebacker Patrick Queen, and elite pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney among others.
Additionally, the Fox Sports analyst drew parallels between the 2022 Super Bowl-worthy Eagles and the 2023 Super Bowl-worthy Ravens, suggesting that both teams experienced similar downfalls in their subsequent seasons.
Saquon Barkley’s impact transforms Eagles into Super Bowl contenders
Learning from the mistakes of last season, the best decision that the Eagles made this offseason was acquiring star running back Saquon Barkley the moment he became available. On track to surpass the NFL’s all-time leading single-season rushing yards, he has established himself as the most dangerous offensive weapon in the league.
After a slow 2-2 start to the season, Barkley has led the Eagles to an eight-game winning streak and made them a bonafide Super Bowl contender. Meanwhile, he has the second-best odds of winning the prominent MVP honor after the favorite Josh Allen.
The Eagles’ offensive line was already strong and adding Barkley at his peak made them unbeatable and energized with every passing week. He is leading the NFL in rushing yards of 1,499 and 28 touchdowns accumulated in the last 12 games of this season.
