It has been another MVP season and another disappointing ending for Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens. In a must-watch game before the Super Bowl, the Divisional game between Baltimore and Buffalo came down to the wire.
The game was well on its way to going into overtime except tight end Mark Andrews dropped the biggest pass of his career that wound up costing the Ravens a chance to progress. Lamar Jackson had a respectable game last night with 254 yards passing, 2 touchdowns, 40 yards rushing, 1 fumble, and 1 interception. However, one analyst believes LJ is to blame for the team falling short.
Former NFL player Emmanuel Acho called out Lamar Jackson for the Ravens’ loss.
His criticism of Jackson stems from the fact that he plays lights out during the regular season but the playoffs remain his kryptonite.
Lamar Jackson was perfect in the fourth quarter last night
The potential MVP of this season did not choke under pressure. Lamar Jackson led an eight-play, 88-yard touchdown drive that cut the deficit to 27-25. It was a no-brainer to go for the two-point conversion and had Mark Andrew held onto that ball, the outcome of the game may have been different.
Emmanuel Acho gave Mark Andrews blame for the team’s loss but he does not believe that is enough to get Lamar Jackson off the hook. He now has a 3-5 record in the playoffs. The quarterback has lost 3 Divisional games, 1 AFC Championship game, and 1 Wild Card game. While Acho’s take may seem ridiculous, there is some validity to it.
“Lamar Jackson when it matters most, doesn’t show up the most. It’s the greater issue.”

For the past few years, the NFL has witnessed Lamar Jackson be great in the regular season. He boasts of a skillset that fans have not seen to date and because he is that good, the expectations from him are high. Last year, Baltimore had a phenomenal run in the regular season, the team was expected to win the Super Bowl but they fell short.
This year as well, the Ravens took it a step further and played better than last season. Their offense with Derrick Henry should not have stumbled in front of Buffalo but it did. Surprisingly, Baltimore did not hand the ball off as much to Derrick Henry. The running back had 16 carries for 84 yards the entire night.
