Bleacher Report recently stirred a social media debate by releasing the most overrated NFL quarterback list. The list by Alex Kay featured the Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson at the top of the list, followed by the Green Bay Packers’ Jordan Love.
Lamar Jackson leading the list was something none of us might have expected. Jackson, despite his lack of a championship, has won two NFL MVPs, made four Pro Bowl squads, and three All-Pros. Given that context, Jackson’s ranking appeared unreasonable to many observers, including sports pundit Emmanuel Acho.
Acho, joined by LeSean McCoy in an episode of Speakeasy, couldn’t understand the logic of how Lamar Jackson was ranked atop this list. While Acho understood Lamar Jackson earns criticism for his lack of performance in the playoffs, he listed several reasons as to why the Bleacher Report should never have put Jackson as the most overrated quarterback.
It’s dumb as hell…. You are not going to say a two-time MVP, a generational talent, a generational player, a unanimous MVP is overrated. You’re not going to say somebody who never misses the playoffs whenever he plays is overrated.

The Baltimore Ravens were written off from the playoff contention before Lamar Jackson returned from injury and led them to straight wins, and they are two games away from a winning record. They have two easy opponents in the upcoming two games, as well: the Cleveland Browns (2-7) and the New York Jets (2-8).

Acho referenced this while adding on the reasons why he thought Jackson should not be called an overrated quarterback.
You’re not going to say somebody that’s about to drag the Ravens from the pits of hell and ascend them back to the heavens of the AFC North is overrated. You’re not going to say somebody that every defender is afraid to play is overrated.

Lamar Jackson’s Baltimore Ravens face the Cleveland Browns in an AFC North clash
The Baltimore Ravens look forward to winning their 5th game of the season and getting to a 5-5 record when they host the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. The Ravens and the Browns previously met in Week 2 when the Ravens steamrolled the Browns mercilessly.

The Browns have been facing the same quarterback inconsistencies they have faced throughout the course of their recent decades. The Browns’ starter, Joe Flacco, was traded mid-season, and the experiment to replace Flacco with Oregon Ducks product and rookie QB Dillon Gabriel didn’t work out well either. The team is hesitant to put out Shedeur Sanders, suggesting that Sanders might not be ready or they don’t want him out in the wild facing the wolves in an already lost season.
Meanwhile, the resurgent Ravens are on the rise. They are on the winning path, and two wins would put them at the head of the AFC North. The sole foe of the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday will be the Browns’ defense. The Ravens did get the better of the same defense with Jackson throwing four touchdowns in that game. However, the Browns have juiced up their defensive unit in the past weeks.
Carson Schwesinger will be the greatest threat to the Ravens’ running game. Schwesinger, projected to be the Defensive Rookie of the Year, registered double-digit tackles (10) and a half-sack in the last game. The unit together prevented the New York Jets in their last game from recording more than 47 net passing yards and limited them to 175 total offensive yards. Though the Jets aren’t known for their offense, it once again highlighted the absolute monstrosity of the Browns’ defense and what they can do. All said, the Ravens are highly favored to not just win, but dominate the game.
