Fox Sports Analyst and former NFL footballer Emmanuel Acho isn’t fond of Rex Ryan, or rather the latter’s recurring criticism aimed at Cleveland Browns’ young rookie footballer, Shedeur Sanders. Sanders, amid his high media publicity, suffered a setback in the annual draft, sliding to the fifth round of the selection process.
The Browns selected Oregon Ducks alum Dillon Gabriel ahead of Sanders, and Gabriel was promoted to starter after the Browns traded their seasoned veteran Joe Flacco to the Cincinnati Bengals after a few unfortunate losses. Gabriel was recently injured in the game against the Baltimore Ravens last Sunday, and Sanders was sent on to the field by the head coach, Kevin Stefanski.
His performance was subpar in the game. Sanders threw sixteen passes, of which only four reached the receiver’s hands. He failed to record his first touchdown but did end up throwing an interception in his debut game. Sanders, however, had limited first-team reps ahead of the game.
Former New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan berated the Browns’ management for not giving him enough reps. However, he did not leave to point fingers at the quarterback either. His problem with Sanders was not his production but his postgame behavior. He claimed that Sanders took things far more seriously and disregarded a meeting with the Ravens’ QB Lamar Jackson.
Shedeur, he’s gotta get over himself too…Did he care? Or are you trying to make it a show of making it about yourself? You’ve got a guy over there that, by the way, is a two-time MVP, right there, Lamar Jackson. He was looking for you. Why don’t you share a moment with him? Alright. Share a moment with Lamar. He’s looking all over for you. Then get in there with your teammates.

This isn’t the first time Ryan has berated Sanders, and this time, Emmanuel Acho wasn’t having any of it. In the recent episode of Speakeasy, Acho ripped into Ryan and called him out for his comments on Sanders while highlighting the inadequacies of the other positions in the game.
Because Rex Ryan made some imbecilic remarks… How in the world are you going to criticize Shedeur Sanders’ body language after that game? If there’s one thing Shedeur Sanders did great in that game, it was his body language. He came onto the field after halftime, out of surprise.
Acho questioned why he keeps on berating Sanders time after time. He admitted that Ryan was right the first time, but he has not said anything worthy of an argument. Acho continued:
Rex Ryan, you want to continue to attack Shedeur time after time after time. Are you not tired? Are you not tired of coming at Shedeur? Truly. And the first time, Rex, I was with you… this is dumb.
.@EmmanuelAcho SOUNDS OFF on Rex Ryan's recent comments about Shedeur needing to "get over himself" 😳

Ahead of his first start, the Browns have made some roster moves. On Wednesday, the team confirmed the additions of cornerbacks D’Angelo Ross from the Houston Texans’ practice squad and Sam Webb from the Tennessee Titans’ practice squad.
D’Angelo Ross is a fourth-year player out of New Mexico who has played 29 games with the New England Patriots and Texans and will wear No. 20. Meanwhile, Sam Webb, a third-year pro from Missouri Western State who has also appeared in 29 games with the Raiders and Carolina Panthers and will wear No. 27.
Both additions bolster the defense, which will be crucial in containing Geno Smith and the Raiders as the team supports Sanders following his candid assessment of his NFL debut. However, their offense is still the same, and unless they have a makeover, the scales are not tipped in anyone’s favor.
