After a season marred by injury, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is ready to make his long-awaited return to the field. With the start of his second season in green and white a day away, Rodgers reminisced about the tragic day when he felt hopeless.
The day remains etched in the minds of every Jets fan, eager to see a 4-time Super Bowl champion gearing up. The joy lasted for just a game before Rodgers went down by Leonard Floyd’s sack, limping off the field in pain. Although he tried to return, the injury was too severe and the Jets eventually didn’t qualify for the postseason without Rodgers.
Recently, the QB sat down with Alex Smith on ESPN’s “Sunday NFL Countdown” and discussed the happenings of the woeful day. Smith inquired Rodgers on what he remembers from the day.
I knew when I was on the ground that something was wrong and sometimes you get drilled and you know something is off, and you just kind of hope you get up. .. but when I stood up, I knew it and then I just went downAaron Rodgers said in the interview

Just everything flashing before your eyes: the 18 years at Green Bay, the trade, the spring, the excitement, the summer, the city, ‘Hard Knocks,’ run on the field with the flag for the first time, 9/11.Aaron Rodgers added
Rodgers admitted being afraid that this was how he was gonna go out. He said that he understood that he was getting old and his chances were slim every day, before pointing out feeling hopeless thinking of coming back and the struggles.
San Francisco 49ers defender calls Aaron Rodgers the best quarterback ahead of MNF game
Isaac Yiadom, an ex-teammate of Aaron Rodgers, admitted that Rodgers is the best quarterback in the league. He understands the danger posed by Rodgers despite the San Francisco 49ers holding a recent edge over the opponents.
In a recent interview with the 49ers on NBC Sports, Yiadom shared insights he gained from playing alongside Rodgers. Yiadom played one season with the Packers, starting for one game in 2021. He joined the SF 49ers in the off-season after a year-and-a-half stint in New Orleans. He signed a one-year contract with the Bay Area team in mid-March of the current year.
The 49ers will play the Jets on Monday as Rodgers chases the greatest ending as he plans revenge on his childhood team who skipped him during the draft.
