Real Madrid also TV screened a video of 11-year-old Endrick stating his desire to play for the club. Having signed for the biggest club in Europe, fans are excited to see what a team featuring Endrick, Mbappe, Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr. can bring to the table. Europe beware.

From having ‘nothing to eat’ to signing for the biggest club in Europe – the curious case of Endrick

Not every teenager has what it takes to play for Real Madrid. The Los Blancos and its fans are unforgiving when it comes to signing and ‘disposing’ top talent. The fact that the 15-time UCL winners couldn’t wait until Endrick turned 18 to sign him up speaks volumes about his valuation within the institution. Madrid made a deal for Endrick’s signature in December 2022, picking him up on a deal that amounts to €60 million in total.

His two years with Brazilian club Palmeiras saw him make 66 appearances while scoring 18 goals for them. He also helped the club claim two consecutive Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A titles and several other domestic accolades. His ability on the ball paired with his clutch goals and unique style of play made many compare him to the great Pele himself!

He is the fourth youngest player to don a Brazil jersey as he made his debut aged 17 years and 118 days against Colombia. As it stands, the forward has joined Madrid and will look to build on his ‘reputation’ as one of the best youngsters to play for Madrid. Despite an embarrassing Copa America, the player has vowed to make things right and do his best to bring the World Cup back to Brazil.
