At just 18 years old, Endrick is Real Madrid’s latest signing. The Brazilian wonderkid joined the ranks of Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr. & Kylian Mbappe, with his ability on the pitch preceding his signing. Despite his unbelievable ability on the ball and confidence while facing the press, fans have taken notice of his uncanny opinions and ‘hot takes’ on social media.
Recently, the player went viral for a questionable pick, in which he was made to choose between Brazilian legend Neymar Jr. & current teammate Bellingham. Much to the surprise of many, Endrick ended up choosing the latter. Days after Endrick’s claim, it appears that another Brazilian legend has taken notice of the same, and he isn’t ‘happy’ with it.
Defensive stalwart and current Fluminense player Thiago Silva took notice of Endrick’s claim and opted not to make his reaction subtle on social media. In an Instagram post featuring the same, Silva posted a series of laughing emojis.
While fans argue that he made fun of Endrick for his take, it remains to be seen whether the veteran meant something more with his comment.
Endrick places Dani Carvajal fourth as youngster has his Ballon d’Or pick
It isn’t difficult to see why fans claim that Endrick has more interviews than goals for Real Madrid. The teenager is a natural when it comes to speaking for the cameras, with his most recent interaction featuring him naming the Ballon d’Or favorites for 2024. From Jude Bellingham to Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Jr., it is difficult to see how the award will go to someone else this year.
While the 18-year-old picked Vinicius Jr. as his No.1 pick, he named Bellingham as a close second. What surprised many was the fact that Endrick put Carvajal in fourth. It is important to note that the veteran right back had an amazing campaign, claiming La Liga, the UEFA Champions League as well as UEFA Euro 2024.
Despite his achievements, Endrick placed Kylian Mbappe in third and Federico Valverde in fifth. It was surprising to see the youngster leave out Manchester City midfielder Rodri, who by far, had one of the best campaigns for a footballer this year. Endrick was an unused substitute as Madrid got the better of Enzo Maresca‘s Chelsea in their final pre-season friendly.
