As Chelsea prepare to kick off on a new season, an incident that occurred during the Copa America celebrations in the Argentine team bus still trouble many at the club. Enzo Fernandez went live on Instagram as he and his teammates engaged in ‘racist’ chants aimed at French players, sang in the context of their 2022 FIFA World Cup win.
As the clip went viral, several fans, footballers and pundits have shared their takes on the same, with many engaging in raging debates on social media. While a faction of players at Chelsea unfollowed and publicly condemned Enzo Fernandez‘s actions, another bunch of players have issued their support for the midfielder. Wesley Fofana and Nicolas Jackson are just a few who have publicly spoken about the same.
