Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has warned his players about putting in the work if they need to even be considered for a start at the club.

Enzo Maresca‘s short yet happening spell at Chelsea has been quite the spectacle till now. The Italian manager has been the centre of attention for news outlets and media pages following his ‘controversial’ and questionable decisions. From his treatment of Raheem Sterling to the club’s ‘reckless’ policy in the transfer market, things have been a ‘mess’ at the club.
Recently, the 44-year-old grabbed headlines yet again as he issued a strong warning to all of his players.
If you think I’m going to give you a chance without working hard, forget about that.

The manager also stirred up commotion when he said that he was only bothered about half of the 42-man squad.
Chelsea recently completed the signing of both Joao Felix and Pedro Neto, along with the departure of homegrown talent Conor Gallagher. Despite all the talent at their disposal, Chelsea failed to impress against Servette FC in the UEFA Europa Conference League play-offs.
Despite winning the game 2-0, the highlight of the game was an open-goal miss by former Barcelona man Marc Guiu.
Enzo Maresca slams Mykhailo Mudryk following underwhelming display against Servette
Chelsea picked up a 2-0 win over Swiss Super League side Servette FC on Saturday. However, the Blues did not do so without laying bare their weaknesses in front of their boss. Despite playing the whole 90 minutes, Mykhailo Mudryk did not make a single goal contribution. Following the game, Enzo Maresca did not hold back on the Ukrainian.

However, the Italian made sure to make it clear that the club would ‘help’ him get back on track and fix the issues in his decision-making. The boss also ruled out the player having poor quality.
Mudryk recently employed new agents who are part of the ProStar Football Agency. The player also shared a picture of the same on Instagram with the caption ‘Beginning of a new chapter’. Several fans are still frustrated that the player has not lived up to his mammoth fee of €100 million! The 23-year-old signed an eight-year contract with the club back in 2022.
