“This man has transformed white ball cricket for England” – Ben Stokes all praise for Eoin Morgan

England all-rounder Ben Stokes was all praise for skipper Eoin Morgan after the latter completed 100 matches as captain of the country’s white-ball side. Morgan is already etched in English cricket’s folklore as he was the captain who gave the nation its first ever ODI World Cup triumph in 2019. The southpaw only seems to be getting better both in terms of his batting as well as his captaincy as he takes his side to great heights.
Morgan’s 100th match as captain was the third T20I against India in which England came up trumps. They were led by a scintillating knock from Jos Buttler who finished on 83* to overshadow Indian skipper Virat Kohli‘s knock of 77* in the first innings that had taken India to a total of 156. The win gave England a 2-1 lead with two more T20Is to play before the ODI series begins.
Ben Stokes tweets on Eoin Morgan
England’s ace all-rounder Ben Stokes took to Twitter today to praise Eoin Morgan following his achievement of completing 100 matches as captain. He posted two pictures of himself with the skipper with the first one showing Stokes being consoled by Morgan following his infamous last over in the 2016 ICC T20 World Cup final where he was hit for four sixes in a row. The second picture shows the duo happy and celebrating a win.
Stokes captioned the pictures, “This man has transformed white ball cricket for England, a great role model a great captain and an even better bloke.”
The fourth T20I between India and England takes place today at 7 PM IST in Ahmedabad.
