Tottenham Hotspur’s disaster run of form continued as Nottingham Forest became the most recent side to pick up a win against the club. A solitary goal from Anthony Elanga and a red card for Djed Spence in the final minutes meant that Spurs had nothing to take away from the clash.

Nottingham Forest, on the other hand, rose to third spot in the Premier League following an incredible run of games! Despite Forest’s brilliant season so far, Tottenham has been suffering equally.

To begin with, boss Ange Postecoglou has started to come under more and more pressure with consecutive defeats. The club’s last game against Liverpool also ended in a humiliating 3-6 demolition.

As things stand, Tottenham Hotspur will not be finishing in the top four and is on course to register its worst points tally midway through the season. With just 23 points on the board, the club needs to focus on bringing in results if it is to avoid further humiliation.

Postecoglou’s men attempted 14 shots, with 4 on target, to no avail. The visitors also couldn’t make use of the 70% ball possession over Nottingham’s meager 30%. Postecoglou has some serious work to do in the January transfer window if the club is to fix crucial issues in its squad and bring in better results.

Fans react to Tottenham Hotspur’s disastrous run of games

Ange Postecoglou confidently told the press earlier this season that he usually wins things in his second season. However, a fan said that with the way things are, the only thing Spurs will be celebrating is its anniversary.

Laughing at the club’s current state, a fan called Spurs the Robin Hood of the Premier League. The club lost to the likes of Bournemouth, Ipswich Town, and Crystal Palace while winning against Manchester City and Manchester United.

Even though Postecoglou defended his players after the defeat, several fans wanted him to be sacked as soon as possible. The manager argued that many of his players are asked to play once every three days, and that is asking too much of them.

The manager also stressed the need for new signings in January when the transfer window opens. Despite criticism that Spurs will perform better with a new manager, it is unclear whether the 59-year-old will be in charge next month.
