The NXT Championship feud between Ridge Holland and Trick Williams got a whole lot more interesting after the latest episode of NXT. Rumors were circulating that WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff would make a recorded appearance at the show. However, barely anyone expected him to be involved in the top feud of the developmental brand.
Trick Williams cut a promo on the latest episode of NXT, saying that Holland winning the championship would mean the end of the brand. The challenger interrupted his promo and said that he did not care that controversy followed him wherever he went. The English wrestler had just beaten Andre Chase last week to crown himself as the number one contender to the NXT Championship and looked committed to winning his first singles title in WWE.
Eric Bischoff then appeared on the titantron, and will appear on NXT in person next week. This was his first appearance with the company since May of last year. The former Raw General Manager is also set to take over “creative control” of MLW and play the role of an executive producer for a one-time appearance next Thursday.

The 69-year-old has said that he would donate his entire paycheck to the Tunnel to Tower Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the military and first responders who gave their lives for the 9/11 attacks in 2001.
Eric Bischoff calls AEW Dynamite one of the worst wrestling shows he has ever watched
On the 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff reviewed the 20th November 2024 episode of AEW Dynamite. He had already admitted that it was a program he rarely watched. However, he decided to give the show another chance out of curiosity. He was particularly interested in the ongoing AEW World Championship storyline featuring Jon Moxley and the Blackpool Combat Club.
The former WCW president refuted the claim of the company that AEW is where the best wrestle. He opined that while some of the matches were decent, the show was garbage from beginning to end. He also criticized the company’s production value, saying that it did not look professional at all. The talent, including Jon Moxley, wore street clothes that he wouldn’t “be caught dead wearing on the street.”
These claims by Bischoff further added fuel to the fire of the debate that AEW severely lacks in its storytelling. The company has also received a lot of flak by several other wrestling legends, like Matt Hardy and Bully Ray.
