Amid the ongoing Uncle Howdy teases on television, WWE is closing in on debuting the character soon. However, Bo Dallas might not arrive alone on the main roster. As per PWInsider, Erick Rowan has signed with WWE and will return to the company after four years.
During the WrestleMania week, a documentary on the late Bray Wyatt aired, which ended with the Uncle Howdy persona teasing his return. Later, vignettes and QR codes started to pop up on the screen, subtly hinting at the reincarnation of Howdy. As such, rumors started to swirl that a faction named after the Eater of Worlds, “Wyatt 6,” would also be formed. And one of the members heavily speculated by fans was none other than former Wyatt Family member Erick Rowan.
The former WWE Tag Team Champion last appeared on WWE television in August 2023. Rowan, alongside Braun Strowman, took center stage as wrestlers and fans paid tribute to Bray. Speaking of the Monster Among Men, he returned on the latest edition of Raw. Similar to Rowan, Strowman has been among the names rumored to join the Uncle Howdy-led stable.
Needless to say, it will be interesting to see whether the two reunite one more time and pay tribute to Bray Wyatt. Moreover, the WWE Universe has speculated that other names, such as Alexa Bliss and Dexter Lumis, may be part of the returning Uncle Howdy storyline.
Erick Rowan spoke about The Wyatt Family’s legacy
Without a doubt, The Wyatt Family was one of the most dominant factions of the past decade. Moreover, the legacy left behind by Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper will always be fondly remembered by the WWE Universe. Taking that into mind, Erick Rowan spoke candidly about the faction.
In an interview with Counted Out, the 42-year-old reflected on how The Wyatt Family made an impact on people’s lives. Rowan said that he felt good that the faction played an important role. As for a Hall of Fame induction for the group, the former Tag Team Champion claimed that it would be too soon after the unfortunate demises of Wyatt and Harper.
Prior to this year’s ceremony, many expected the Eater of Worlds to be a part of the 2024 class. However, reports later suggested that WWE felt it would be too soon to induct the former WWE Champion. Instead, the company released the aforementioned documentary to commemorate his legacy.
