During this thrilling matchup, a ‘silly’ mistake by Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra cost his side the matchup. The Heat and Pistons were tied at 121-121 with 01.1 seconds left on the clock.

This is where Spoelstra called out a timeout for the Heat. However, none were left, resulting in a technical free throw for the Pistons. Eventually, the Heat ended up losing the game through this foul. Most people agree that Spoelstra is the best coach in the NBA. However, this time around, his mistake cost his side the NBA Cup game. This also left many fans frustrated as they took to social media to vent their anger and views.
