Moments after making history for the Norwegian national team, Manchester City star Erling Haaland surprisingly announced that he is expecting his first child with girlfriend Isabel Haugseng Johansen. Haaland recently became the all-time top goal scorer for the national team.

Erling Haaland scored his 34th goal for the national team in a 3-0 win over Slovenia, becoming their highest-ever goal scorer. He broke the record previously set by Jorgen Juve, 90 years ago. Moreover, he became the fastest to reach the record in just 36 matches, compared to Juve’s 45 matches. While celebrating this historic milestone, the 24-year-old forward revealed that he and Haugseng are expecting their first child together.

On social media after the match, Haaland shared a photo of the matchball tucked inside his shirt and his thumb in his mouth, symbolizing that he was soon going to become a father. He shared the image with a caption of a baby emoji and ‘soon’ written alongside it. This image quickly gained attention from fans all around the world, as the Norwegian couple received love and support. It adds a bright spot to the couple’s relationship, which has continued since their childhood.

Meanwhile, the former Dortmund forward has been in red-hot form this season as well, having scored 11 goals in ten matches for Man City. He is on top of the EPL goalscorers list, scoring two back-to-back hat-tricks against West Ham and Ipswich Town.

Manchester City star Erling Haaland spoke out about his decision to throw the ball at Gabriel Magalhaes during a 2-2 draw against Arsenal. The 24-year-old forward stated that he has no regrets about his actions and exclaimed that it happened in the heat of the moment.

Haaland faced the threat of possible suspension and fine for his antics against Arsenal, as well as for the post-match tussle with manager Mikel Arteta. Speaking to reporters about the incident, the 24-year-old, however, suggested Gunners fans stop gripping over the incident. He expressed that he does not regret much of his actions in life and stated that what happens on the pitch should stay on the pitch. 

It was in the heat of the moment, and a lot of stuff happened in that game. Things that happen on the pitch stay there, and that’s how it is. I don’t regret much in life.

Brazilian defender Magalhaes also spoke about the scuffle following John Stones’ late equalizer against Arsenal, as he confidently stated that he does not remember the incident and termed Haaland’s reaction as ‘normal’.
