“Bro only shows up in friendlies” – Erling Haaland fails to impress fans by scoring hat-trick for Norway against Kosovo
Erling Haaland is a beast when it comes to scoring goals. But for Norway, he's the opposite, as claimed by several fans on X!

There is no doubt whatsoever regarding Erling Haaland‘s goal scoring prowess. The Manchester City and Norway striker is, quite simply, a force of nature when it comes to banging in goals. Ever since the forward made the move to Manchester City, he’s won two Premier League golden boots, while also breaking the record for most goals scored in a single campaign in his debut season!
However, several fans have been critical of the striker for his performances on the international stage and ‘rightly’ so. Despite scoring an impressive hat-trick against Kosovo in an international friendly, the forward came under significant criticism for his inability to lead his country to a major tournament.

Norway failed to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup while also being unable to make it out of the qualifying round for the upcoming Euros. Despite having the likes of Haaland and Martin Odegaard, the only competition Norway find themselves in is the UEFA Nations League B!
Haaland has scored 30 goals in 32 appearances for his country, which is not bad given the circumstances.
Fans unimpressed by Erling Haaland’s sensational hat-trick
Erling Haaland can certainly do it on the big stage for Manchester City. The No.9 has also came through for former club Borussia Dortmund when it mattered the most. However, several fans are of the opinion that he’s been unable to do the same for his country. This made many come to the conclusion that the forward is a one-dimensional striker who will only perform with a good supporting cast.

Another mocked Haaland for only showing up for his country in ‘meaningless’ friendlies. Others shifted the blame to his teammates and stated that Haaland’s teammates were the ones holding him down. Some were so confident that they were convinced Norway could win the Euros with a better team.
One particular fan advised the PL Golden Boot winner that he should’ve scored all these goals during the European qualifiers and World Cup playoff rounds. Rival fans from Manchester United were quick to remind others that Haaland wasn’t even as good as Rasmus Hojlund at the international level. Norway take on Hojlund’s Denmark a few days from now before the start of the Euros.
