All XDefiant Factions and their abilities, explained
Here's everything you need to know about all Factions in XDefiant.
XDefiant factions
Ubisoft’s latest original title, XDefiant, is a free-to-play FPS arena shooter. XDefiant introduces different factions and takes inspiration from other games that Ubisoft owns, like Far Cry, Splinter Cell, and The Division. Currently, the game is in its beta phase after multiple alpha tests. The beta started on April 13th and will run until April 23rd.
The closed beta has allowed players from all over the world to get a taste of XDefiant’s gameplay, and the factions play a crucial role in the game. Each faction has its own set of abilities, including one passive ability, two active abilities, and an ultra (ultimate attack). Players can only bring one of the two active abilities to a fight. These abilities make each faction adept at a certain role. However, they can change their abilities, factions, and weapon loadouts quickly during a match.

The factions in XDefiant function similarly to classes, but they do not restrict loadout usage. The factions range from the revolutionaries of Far Cry 6 to the hardy Cleaners from The Division 2. Players who are familiar with Ubisoft’s franchises will recognize some of the characters in the game.
