“I’ve been a gamer all my life and a proud member of the growing esports community. Wylde already has an esports team competing in games such as FIFA and Rocket League. Bolt hopes that his new role in the company will help for diversification in esports.
“We want people to enjoy it”: Usain Bolt enters into world of esports
Bolt said that he’s confident that Wylde will attract investors from all over the world, especially as the market expands. “We’re all about diversity.” Bolt said according to bloombergquint.com. “And gaming, anybody can do. We all love gaming all around the world. For me, the key thing is to diversify what we’re doing to let everybody know that’s what it’s all about.”
The aim of Wylde is to get people to be a part and enjoy the world of esports, regardless of gender. “We’re trying to get as much people — no matter who you are, what gender — just to be a part of this and just to enjoy it,” said Bolt.
