The Halloween festivities continue in the Call of Duty world as the fan-favorite Haunting event is set to return to Warzone 2.0 and MW2 Season 6. The event gives players a preview of the content coming to the game ahead of the highly anticipated release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The haunting event features the return of several popular game modes, such as Zombie Royale.

The Haunting event promises a wealth of new content, including maps, operators, modes, skins and weapon blueprints that will all be inspired by the Halloween season. Additionally, the event will also feature a redesigned Vondel, many multiplayer maps belonging to Modern Warfare 2, new weaponry, and tons of Halloween-themed rewards.

Call Of Duty Warzone 2.0 Haunting event start time

According to the official Call of Duty blog, the event is set to start on October 17, 2023. You will be able to dive into Call of Duty with a terrifying twist starting at 4 pm UTC. The event will be underway for both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 at the same time. This date marks the halfway point of season 6, as it coincides with the next major content drop. The festivities will run until the end of the season.

There will also be operator crossovers between Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0. These crossovers will also feature characters from TV shows, movies, comic books, manga, and anime. The Chainsaw melee weapon from DOOM will be available during the event, allowing players to tear through hordes of the undead. Players can also expect a Zombie ghost operator skin. More details regarding cosmetics are yet to be announced by Activision.

Operation Nightmare is a new mode coming to the game which takes place in Al Mazrah at night. Teams will have to fight certain “anomalies” in the popular Battle Royale map. If you are successful in hunting down the most wanted targets, you will be awarded with a certain Mastery Weapon Blueprint.
