Mashup Madness in Clash of Clans – All New Additions

Mashup Madness is available for anybody who is Town Hall 6 or higher. The event comes with new troops, a different type of resource storage and plenty of decorative items. Here is everything that has been added to the game for a limited duration.

Sour Elixir

You will be asked to build the Sour Elixir Cauldron when the event starts. This will recast one of your normal elixir storages to sour elixir storage. During the course of this event, this turned building will store Sour Elixir. Sour elixir acts as a resource that can be used to purchase items related to the event. You can use sour elixir to buy limited-edition skins for troops, buy decoration items, and train brand-new troops.

The Monster Mashup! (New Troops)

The new event introduces four new troops to the game for a limited time. While these aren’t inherently new troops, they combine the powers of the classic troops we already know and love. These troops are trained using the new resource sour elixir. You need not upgrade them in the laboratory, as their levels depend solely upon your Town Hall level. They can be used in your standard multiplayer battles.

The Barcher

Our first troop is a mix between the iconic barbarian and the archer. The troop is a long-range attacker, firing arrows just like the archer but mixed with the durability of the barbarian. The barcher can also turn invisible, just like the archer’s special ability, with a burst of aggression when it is first deployed. The troop requires 2000 sour elixir to be trained and can single-target both ground and air.

The Hog Wizard

The Hog Wizard is perhaps the most frightening troop COC players have seen in the game. It combines the hog rider’s quickness and agility with the wizard’s high damage. Just like the hog rider, the hog wizard will look to wipe out your defences first. As if that wasn’t enough, the troop also radiates an aura damaging nearby enemies. Say goodbye to your defences when you see this troop costing 15,000 sour elixirs attack your base.

The Lavaloon

Players know Lavaloon is one of the best attack strategies in Clash of Clans. Supercell just made our lives easier by integrating both troops into one. The Lavaloon charges for the air defences on your base with its tankiness and drops bombs on it. The troop also combines the death effects of both troops. A bomb is detonated upon death, and multiple lava pups are released. You can train the lavaloon for 35,000 sour elixir.

The Witch Golem

The Witch Golem combines the damage resiliency of the golem with the ability to distract defences by summoning skeletons. It is safe to say that killing these is going to take a long time. Even if you do somehow manage to kill it, the troop releases 1-3 giant skeletons upon death, depending on your town hall level. This abomination of a troop costs 55,000 to train.

Rewards

The good news is that you are rewarded for your experiences with these frightening new troops and for tolerating the builder’s atrocities. Sour Elixir and a new resource called Mashup Medals are the designated rewards for this event. Claiming the medals is simple; all you need to do is attack enemy bases. If you fill the sour elixir meter, you are able to attain even more mashup medals.

You can use medals to purchase boosts to help you progress faster. You can also acquire the Ghost Queen legendary skin for your archer queen, which costs a giant amount of 4650 Mashup Medals. Additionally, the medals also allow you to purchase Magic Books, Resources, cosmetic decorations and more.
