Ex Fortnite Pro Player Chap Calls Out Twitch for ‘Fraudulent Activity’ Accusations

Chap is a retired Fortnite player, whose real name is Ryan Chaplo. Recently this streamer accused Twitch of taking away a huge sum of his earned money from him and also disabling his Ads on his channel after being flagged for apparently being “fraud”.

Chap retired from Fortnite not a very long time ago, but he witnessed an appreciable amount of success on the streaming platform Twitch by streaming The Cycle Frontier. According to Chap, his The Cycle Frontier views were at par with his Fortnite views. But unfortunately, that reality has come to an end with the recent accusations on him.

The streamer found out that his payment method was not working for Twitch, on November 14th. He had also revealed that he was making the most amount of money he ever had in his life.

Following the incidence, the streamer spoke to the manager of Twitch and it came to his notice that his account had been flagged for “fraudulent activity”. The streamer asked the streaming partner to investigate the situation.

The streamer explained the situation by saying, “I just assumed that someone had donated subs or bits with a stolen credit card, but apparently that is not what they meant”. Chap also tweeted, explaining the reason for being so vocal about the matter, saying,

"My main reason for going public is to stop this from happening to less fortunate people who would be absolutely destroyed by not being paid for 3+ months AND losing 50% of their income."

He was then informed that Twitch was terminating his participation in the Ads Program and claims the Amazon owned company took a “large” proportion of his pending balance.

The former Fortnite pro also said that unfortunately Twitch has refused to explain what the fraudulent activity was on his part, which is making it impossible for the streamer to appeal. He still has no idea about what went wrong.

“This is absolutely ridiculous to do to anyone, especially someone who has streamed on your website for 4 years with ZERO issues, bans, or ANYTHING. The only thing I am able to do is to make assumption that Twitch is claiming that I view botted my channel during drops to make more money off of ads.” Chap blasted.

Adding to the reason why he went public for this matter, Chap shared that he feels “betrayed” by Twitch and wishes no one to be in his spot ever.
