The Millennial Pearl Seahorse is a new world boss in Genshin Impact. The boss was added recently in the 4.1 update. It has been released in an underwater cavern in the Fontaine expansion part of the new update. The boss has some menacing electro attacks and can summon fish to fight its battles for it. Its array of moves is stronger when it has a hold of the Xenomare Pearl. You will need to channel the power of emotional reactions to take this boss down.

Unlocking a new character in Genshin Impact implies that the first order of business is to hunt down the World Boss that gives the drops required for this character. Such bosses are scattered all over the Tevyat. You can fight them once every three minutes by going to their territory. You can fight the Millennial Pearl Seahorse for an exclusive item called Fontemer Unihorn.

Find and Beat the Millennial Pearl Seahorse

Finding the Boss

To find the Millennial Seahorse, you will first have to unlock the Statue of the Seven above the Court of Fontaine. This statue is also part of the 4.1 update. The statue’s marker is grayed out on the map if you have not unlocked it yet. After you unlock the statue, the game will allow you to reveal the area that contains the Millennial Pearl Seahorse. You will see two underground teleport waypoints near it.

To find the boss, you will have to head to the north of the Fontaine, where you will spot a cavern. Make your way through the cavern, and you will unlock the teleport waypoint that will get you closest to this boss. Once you reach this spot, you can glide into the arena and start fighting.

Defeating The Boss

The Millennial Pearl Seahorse will start attacking you as soon as you approach it. The boss is on the easier side to defeat. The boss has a shining Electro item attached to its neck. It loses some health whenever Dendro, Pyro, or Cryo are applied to it. It is recommended for teams to include a mono-pyro team with Lyney, Bennet, Kazuha/Sucrose/Lynette, and Dehya.

The national team variants work well here, too. These teams use Xingqui, Xiangling, and Bennet. After this, pair them with another on-field character. You will want to avoid Raiden Shogun at the helm here. Instead, lean towards the Alhaitham or another variant. Look out for the boss’ attacks; you should be able to take them out fairly easily with the right team composition. Once defeated, you can claim the boss’ drops for 40 original resins.

The main item you will be looking for after defeating the boss is the Fontemer Unihorn. This can be used to upgrade Neuvilette. You will also receive other drops, including artifacts, crystals, Mora, and experiences. The new boss is an exciting addition to the game, with the fight being fun to take part in.
