Fortnite: How to get the Michael Myers skin?

Epic Games has brought back the annual Fortnitemares event with only a few weeks left in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4. Fortnite’s developers celebrate Halloween with a spooky event that includes new skins, quests, weapons and more. The map is also decorated with Halloween-themed ornaments scattered across the landscape.

Fortnitemares 2023 is upon us, and players have the opportunity to grab new skins, from the gaming legend Alan Wake to Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

The skin that players are most excited about is the Michael Myers skin in Fortnite. There have been other horror movie characters in Fortnite before, such as Alien or Predator. Still, Michael Myers became the first character from the slasher movies to make his way to the popular battle royale game.

Epic Games has not yet confirmed when the new Halloween skins will be available in the game. Many players speculate that the skins will be added on October 13, due to the common “Friday the 13th” reference. The Michael Myers outfit will be available as in-game purchases and belong to the “Shape Set” bundle. The cost of the bundle is unknown but is rumoured to cost between 1800 and 2200 V-bucks. The bundle in totality will contain –

  • Michael Myers outfit
  • Live from Haddonfield Emote
  • Stab-o-Lantern Back Bling
  • Slasher Pickaxe

As you can see, the bundle also comes with certain other cosmetic items. This includes a pickaxe skin that resembles the iconic Chef’s knife that Myers is seen using in the movies. The back bling features a pumpkin with a knife in it. The emote plays the familiar musical sound that gets played in the Halloween movies once somebody is about to become Myers’ next victim.

It is most likely that the skin will be added to the game on Monday, October 16th, 2023. Considering that Fortnitemares is a three-week event with three new crossover skins, one will most likely be released each week. There is a high likelihood of the Jack Skellington skin being the first to be released, as Epic Games has revealed the most information about it. Alan Wake 2 is being released on October 27th, so it makes the most sense for the Alan Wake skin to be released during that week. This leaves the Michael Myers skin in the middle of the two.
