The Fortnite Halloween Event has made another appearance in Fortnite as we get closer to All Hallows’ Eve. The map is decorated with all sorts of spooky ornaments. Epic Games has also introduced many spooky cosmetics to the game, including crossovers such as Jack Skellington, Michael Myers and Alan Wake skins. There are also new quests, weapons, and skins.
Epic Games has also introduced a limited-time mode in Fortnite called Horde Rush as part of their annual Halloween event. Plenty of quests and rewards are waiting for you when you play this mode. This cooperative survival mode resembles Fortnite’s original “Save the World” game mode, which involves fighting multiple waves of monsters.
If you enjoy fending off waves and waves of mindless monsters looking to kill you, Horde Rush in Fortnite might be your cup of tea. In this PvE mode, you will be required to team up with three other players to fend off Cube Monsters and traverse across the eerie-looking map. You will eventually make it to the final boss after you fight off these monsters at various locations.
You can earn combos and collect score multipliers if you survive for longer periods and take down more enemy monsters. The limited-time mode also features quests and challenges you cannot complete outside of Horde Rush. There are also gorgeous cosmetic rewards waiting for you once you complete these quests.

The Horde Rush Limited-Time Mode can be played in Fortnite through their “Discover” menu. This menu also just received an update. The community has criticized the revamped version of the menu for being too difficult to navigate, which reduces the visibility of the new mode. Here is how you can find Horde Rush in the Discover menu.
- Launch Fortnite
- Scroll down from the Fortnite lobby onto the Discover menu.
- Find the “By Epic” category.
- Select Horde Rush, which should be the first mode in the category
- Click “Select”.
Clicking on “Select” will bring you back to the Fortnite lobby. From here, you can invite your friends or solo-que. After your entire party is ready, you will enter matchmaking not for the battle royale mode but for the new limited-time mode. You can gain over 225,000 XP after completing all quests associated with the game mode.
