Genshin Impact new Dendro character Kirara: Gameplay and skills guide

The latest release to Hoyoverse’s Genshin Impact character roster is Kiara. Kiara is a nekomata Dendro character going to be released in the upcoming 3.7 update of Genshin Impact. The cute nekomata is being heavily anticipated by fans as she has a new mobility skill introduced to the game.

The 3.7 update patch is full of new interesting things but the most anticipated of them is the 4- star Dendro sword user, Kirara. Kirara is a nekomata who is a courier for the Komaniya Express in Inazuma. She possesses the Dendro element which is the piece of the puzzle in the seven element system. Dendro embodies life and allows the user to manipulate nature. Kirara is a one-handed sword user who also strikes enemies with her hard claws and her elemental skills are as follows:

  • Elemental Skill (Press) – Kirara hops up and activates an AoE Dendro strike, shielding herself and gaining Dendro status for a while. The shield is based on her maximum health.
  • Elemental Skill (Hold) – Kiara activates the shield and activates “Urgent Neko Parcel” hew new movement ability. On contact with enemies, Dendro deals damage to them. Movement, jumping and climbing speed is increased, but climbing consumes more stamina and sprinting interrupts the skill. When the skill ends or is reused, Kirara performs a stronger Dendro AoE claw attack.
  • Elemental Burst – Kirara creates multiple cat cardamoms that deal AoE Dendro damage when it comes in contact with enemies.

Kirara’s elemental skill has a cooldown of 8 to 12 seconds. Her Dendro shield has a duration of 12 seconds and her Elemental burst costs 60 energy to activate with a cooldown of 15 seconds. Her movement skill, the “Urgent Neko Parcel” has duration of 10 seconds if not interrupted. Although her mobility skill does not last very long on water.

Kirara’s Constellations and Passive

Travelers are advised to focus on maxing her HP over others as it plays direct role in her shields and Cat Cardamoms

Constellations:

  • C1 allows you to spawn more Cat Cardamoms on your Elemental Burst
  • C2 makes it possible to shield other players
  • C3 increases the level of Meow-tero Kick
  • C4, performs coordinated attacks with characters protected by her shield
  • C5, Increases the level of Secret Art: Surprise Dispatch
  • C6 buffs the elemental damage by 12% of all nearby party members after usage of her Elemental Skill or Burst.

Passive: When Kirara is present in a party, small animals and birds that provide meat are not startled by party members approaching them.
