Hogwarts Legacy: How to complete The Hall of Herodiana side quest

In Hogwarts Legacy, many of the side quests are essentially glorified fetch quests that require the player to travel to a specific place, fight a few foes, and then return to the quest giver with an item or Beast. Nonetheless, there are a few side quests, such as “The Hall of Herodiana,” that should interest players who enjoy solving puzzles. It is among the most complex yet interesting puzzle side quests in Hogwarts Legacy.

Players need to complete the “Helm of Urtkot” main quest before taking on this side quest. You need to talk to Sophronia Franklin, a Ravenclaw student to start this quest. You can find her near the Charms Classroom. Sophronia was amazed by a witch named Herodiana Bryen. Bryen was known for her mastery of the Banishing Charm, Depulso Spell. Sophronia will ask you to locate some items belonging to Herodiana Byrne.

The Hall of Herodiana side quest in Hogwarts Legacy

After you interact with Sophronia, you need to investigate the Astronomy Wing in Hogwarts castle to locate the Hall of Herodiana. The Hall of Herodiana is among the major secrets in Hogwarts Castle. You will see a quest marker on your map. You have to go there and use the Depulso spell to trigger a switch. This flipping this switch will open the gate to the Hall of Herodiana. Here, you have to complete 3 different puzzles with the help of Accio and Depulso spells.

First Puzzle

The first puzzle serves primarily as practice. Players only need to use Depulso to push the metal blocks up against the wall on the opposite side. You have to climb on the metal block and you will find a chest in front of you. Opening this chest will give you Herodiana’s Cape.

Second Puzzle

Now here’s when things start to get interesting. In the second puzzle, you will need to use more technical expertise. You need to pull the two metal blocks on the right toward the left side wall. This will connect these blocks to the block already on the left side wall. Now, with the help of Depulso, push these three blocks to the far end wall of the hall. After that, pull this stack of blocks toward the right wall and climb the blocks to get another chest containing Herodiana’s Attire.

Third Puzzle

Since it is the last puzzle, it had to be the most complex one. Hogwarts Legacy players have to pull the blocks to the right with Accio and push them over into the rotating sphere with Depulso. Now, move other blocks to the left side of the chamber and climb on top of them. After climbing the block, you have to cast a regular spell on the spinning sphere to reset the position of the blocks. Keep in mind to move to an unmovable block before hitting the spinning sphere with a spell. Pull the blocks to the far wall with the help of Accio. After that, use the Depulso speed to push the blocks on the right side wall. you can use Accio twice to finish the passage by pulling the blocks both toward the player and toward the left wall.

Now climb up and you will find another chest. This chest contains Herodiana’s Cap. Now, just run back to Sophronia to show all the outfits you find. Players will now have the option of showing her the clothing for free, keeping it to themselves, or charging a fee to show it to her. You will get to keep the three cosmetic items and 180 XP no matter what they decide. With all that, The Hall of Herodiana side quest ends in Hogwarts Legacy.
