How to find and defeat all Brutes to get Brute scales in LEGO Fortnite?

Brute Scales in LEGO Fortnite are beneficial items that are essential to your crafting. They are required to upgrade the crafting bench. Additionally, brute scales can be used to craft many powerful charms and totems. The only way to obtain these materials in LEGO Fortnite is by defeating a mob named The Brutes.

The Brutes are dinosaur-like creatures found in the world of LEGO Fortnite. They are nearly twice the size of the player and one of the most challenging enemies to beat in the game. These creatures spawn scarcely in the world, resulting in players having a tough time in finding and defeating them. This makes Brute scales in LEGO Fortnite quite hard to obtain.

Three types of Brutes spawn in the game. Firstly, the regular brutes are the most common and weakest in the game. You will find them in the Grassland and Shore biomes. When killed, these creatures drop Brute Scales in LEGO Fortnite. Secondly, Sand Brutes hide in Lava caves in the Dry Valley biome. Upon death, these brutes drop the Sand Brute Scales.

Lastly, you can also spot Frost Brutes spawning in the Frostlands biome. They are usually found in the mountains rather than the meadows. Make sure to protect yourself from the cold before hunting for these creatures that drop Frost Brute scales.

Obtain Brute Scales in LEGO Fortnite by defeating Brutes

Epic Games has made these Brutes challenging and tough to defeat thanks to their massive health pool and significant damage dealt. Brutes possess four different types of attacks – A normal close-range strike, a sprinting charged attack, an area-of-effect stomp, and a ranged attack where the brute shoots an acidic projectile to harm the player. Use a shield to defend yourself from the brute’s attacks.

The easiest way to kill these creatures is by using a Recurve Crossbow. Make sure you are using one of at least the uncommon rarity. Bring 40-50 arrows and food to boost your health and defence. Once you take them down, they will drop brute scales in LEGO Fortnite. The number and type of brute scales depend on the brutes’ types and difficulty to beat.
