One such challenge requires you to find a Cardboard box in Fortnite. This challenge has been boggling some players’ minds as it is not as straightforward to find. This article outlines how you can quickly complete this challenge in Fortnite.

Fortnite recently saw the addition of a Metal Gear Solid crossover. Naturally, the update was accompanied by one of the most iconic items in gaming, the cardboard box. Solid Snake often uses these boxes in the Metal Gear Solid series to hide from enemies, avoid being detected and take them out sneakily. They can be used for a similar purpose in Fortnite.

The Cardboard Box in Fortnite allows you to hide under it and become undetectable by your enemies. However, do not get too comfortable, as players are actively looking for these. Most opponents will start shooting a cardboard box as soon as they see one, giving away your corner.

Hide in a Cardboard Box in Fortnite

The Cardboard Box in Fortnite is a mythic item, hence, being quite hard to find. Despite this, it can be found as ground loot, in chests and picked up from loot dropped by other players. However, the easiest way to obtain a cardboard box in Fortnite is to purchase it from the Soldi Snake NPC, now found on the Fortnite map.

You can find the Solid Snake NPC on an island north of Lavish Lair. Make sure not to shoot the NPC. Speaking to him will allow you to buy this cardboard box from him in exchange for 100 gold. While this does seem pricey, it is the easiest method to obtain the item.

To hide in the cardboard box in Fortnite, equip the item in your inventory. Aim and throw the box on the floor where you want to hide using your attack button. Walk up to the box and interact with the prompt to hide inside it. Stay in the box for ten seconds and this will complete the quest part of the Solid Snake challenges.
