Elden Ring is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game has gained a lot of attention from gamers worldwide due to its promising features, including an open-world environment, high-level difficulty, and its signature gameplay mechanics. One of the game’s highly coveted items is the Grafted Blade Greatsword, a legendary weapon that is ideal for strength-based builds.

The Grafted Blade Greatsword is a highly powerful weapon in Elden Ring. This makes it an excellent choice for players who prefer strength builds. The sword has strict stat requirements, however, due to its classification as a greatsword. To two-hand the weapon, you’ll need 27 strength, while 40 strength is required to wield it one-handed. Additionally, you’ll need 14 dex and a considerable amount of endurance to avoid exceeding your 70% encumbrance and “fat rolling” when using it with very light armor and/or no shield.

To obtain the Grafted Blade Greatsword, you’ll need to defeat one of the seven bosses before Margit, the Leonine Misbegotten. Players can find this boss in a dungeon that serves as a prelude to the Stormveil Castle. The dungeon can be found by traveling to Castle Morne. The castle is located on the southernmost tip of the Weeping Peninsula. It’s relatively easy to avoid the castle’s ballista defenses by keeping to the right as you approach on horseback.

Once inside the dungeon, take the elevator up from the entrance. After the elevator, avoid the mass of enemies on the right side. Head to the back of the courtyard and climb the ladder on the right to reach the castle ramparts. You can only go south from the top of the ladder, so head that way and be cautious of flying Misbegottens. At the fork, the right path dropping down will take you to a site of grace and the relatively linear path to the boss. The left path will take you to Edgar, Irinia’s father, who is part of her side quest. You’ll want to talk to him with the Grafted Blade Greatsword equipped to proceed in that quest.

The Leonine Misbegotten is the boss you need to defeat to obtain the Grafted Blade Greatsword. Although fast and aggressive, it is not as challenging as Margit, so with enough preparation and skill, you should be able to defeat it. Once you emerge victorious, the sword is yours.

The Grafted Blade Greatsword is a must-have weapon for strength builds in Elden Ring. Its immense power and effectiveness make it a great option for players who prefer a more robust playstyle. However, obtaining the sword requires defeating a challenging boss and meeting strict stat requirements. With enough effort and skill, however, players can claim the sword and add it to their arsenal of weapons.
