Cyberpunk 2077 recently saw the addition of the Yasha Sniper Rifle to the game. The game got its 2.0 update and the release of the Phantom Liberty DLC. Although the game got off to a rocky start, these additions have breathed new life into the game. The Phantom Liberty Yasha Sniper Rifle is a new, unique weapon that has been added as part of the DLC.

As always, CD Projekt Red has broken the trend when it comes to unlocking this weapon in-game. You do not have to complete any missions, or sidequests, or buy the gun with currency. Instead, how you unlock it has nothing to do with the game. Cyberpunk 2077 has announced Twitch Drops as the way to promote the Phantom Liberty DLC, and that is where you will find the key to unlocking this gun.

How to Unlock the Yasha Sniper Rifle in Cyberpunk 2077?

The Yasha Sniper Rifle can only be unlocked during the Cyberpunk 2077 Twitch Drop Event. The event started on the 25th of September and ends on the 21st of October, 11:59 CEST. Many famous streamers are part of the event and will be participating. You must link your Twitch account to your GOG account to get started with the process.

To unlock the gun, you have to first gift two subs to any streamer in the Support a Streamer event. Streamers mostly say they have drops enabled in the stream title to attack viewers. Otherwise, you can also ensure the campaign is active by going to the Twitch Drops inventory page. You will see an option to progress to a participating live channel on that page.

After purchasing the subs, you will receive a code that you can redeem at the Cyberpunk Redemption page. Refresh your game, and you will receive a message that you can claim the gun from V’s stash in Cyberpunk 2077. Access your in-game stash from any location where it exists, and you can use the weapon by adding it to your inventory.

There is no doubt that Twitch drops are a fantastic way of getting players excited for a release. CD Projekt Red has gotten creative with promoting this Phantom Liberty DLC. Most games just add skins to their Twitch drops. Adding fun in-game items that are not purely cosmetic is a great way of encouraging players to watch and stream the game.
