Square Enix released Final Fantasy 16 on June 22, 2023. Since then, gamers have plunged right in to complete the quests and hunt through Hunt Boards. The most recent entry in the lengthy JRPG series known as the Final Fantasy Series is this game. Final Fantasy has had a big impact on the gaming industry for the past 36 years. In Final Fantasy 16, players must figure out the whereabouts of Hunt targets because the game does not mark them on the map. The game assigns each Hunt, also known as a bounty or “Notorious Mark,” one of the following grades: C, B, A, or S. The game ranks the targets from easiest to find and combat (C Rank) to hardest (S Rank). Even the A Ranks are not as difficult as S Rank Hunts. It is advised for SO players to hold off on S rank hunting until they have attained a high level or end game. Let’s take a look at how the Hunt Board Unlocks:

  • The Hunt Board unlocks during ‘The Gathering Storm’ main quest, so players must wait a while before they can start doing Hunts in Final Fantasy 16.
  • While on this quest, players will encounter their first Notorious Mark, Ahriman. [You have the option to fight it here, but it is recommended to kill Ahriman while on the quest.]
  • Players will be able to access a few new elements, such as the Hunt Board, located adjacent to Nektar the Moogle, when they return to the hideaway during “The Gathering Storm.” Players must advance in the story to unlock more bounties on the Hunt Board.
  • The yellow marker on the Hunt Board symbol will let players know when fresh targets become accessible, so keep an eye out for it.

Hunt Board is a really good way to gain exp and rewards in Final Fantasy 16. Previous Final Fantasy games relied quite a lot on the Hunt Board, too, so the return of the Hunt Board in the sixteenth installment is no surprise.
