Only Up, a new platformer game, has gained a lot of popularity, and players are wondering whether the game is available on consoles or not?
SCKR Games created and published Only Up, an exciting adventure simulation game. The developers officially launched this indie game on May 24, 2023, providing players with a casual gaming experience. Only Up, a simulation game, often lacks strict objectives or predefined goals, unlike many other game genres. Hence, players are granted the freedom to control characters or environments as they see fit. Streamers find this game so popular.
Furthermore, there are times when a single video game takes over the streaming community as a whole. In 2020 and 2021, Among Us had quite a significant hold, and most recently, an Indie game titled “Only Up” has bagged the popular spot.
Due to the immense popularity of this game, the player base is just expanding, and many Twitch and Kick streamers are playing it. The game’s unique mechanics are very enchanting to the player base and coupled with challenging gameplay, this game gives gamers quite the thrill. There are already gamers who are speed-running this game and setting world records. Is Only Up available on consoles?
For the uninitiated, Only Up is an Indie game developed by a rather small developer studio that works on PC games only. Hence, the game isn’t yet available on consoles. Regrettably, SCKR Games is a fairly new indie game developer on Twitter and Steam. Hotfixes and patches have been sent sporadically, but the developer hasn’t given any details on a prospective console release.
As a 3D platformer whose objective is to ascend as far as you can without falling, the game has gained popularity on several Twitch streams. As you rise above the clouds, the world in the sky becomes more convoluted and freeform, like a bizarre dream. Due to the massive popularity of this game, the developers might soon start working on a PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch release too.
However, as of now, there’s no news about the game’s console release. The developers are a relatively smaller team with limited resources. But since Only Up has received a high level of traction by now, players are expecting much from the developers soon. The game has been a success, so it’s a good sign for the player base. There have already been quite a few updates, and more are expected in the future, which might also include a potential console release.
