FIFA 23 Ones to Watch Promo: EA Reveals Haaland!

Erling Haaland has been revealed as the first item by EA as part of the “Ones to Watch” promo in the upcoming FIFA 23 game. Ones to Watch (OTW) is the first promotional event launched by EA as part of the new FUT 23 season. EA Sports have confirmed Erling Haaland as the first OTW player through an advertisement.

Launched for the first time in FIFA 17, the OTW campaign has been part of all editions of the game ever since, including the latest edition being FIFA 23. This event features many special offers which include special items in packs, objectives, and Squad Building Challenges (SBCs). What is the FIFA 23 Ones to Watch Promo?

OTW cards in FIFA 23 were launched for FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT). OTW cards are made for players who have permanently transferred to a new club in the summer transfer window. These cards are dynamic in nature and can therefore become better through upgrades throughout the course of the year.

How Can the Cards Be Upgraded?

If a player (who has been transferred in the summer window) receives a Man of the Match or Team of the Week award, his card will get an upgrade.
If the player’s club wins 5 out of their next 10 league games, his card will also be upgraded (also known as the “Wins to Watch” upgrade).

There are 2 OTW Team batches which will be releases. OTW Team 1 will release along with FIFA 23 on September 30.

Ones to Watch: EA Announces Erling Haaland in FIFA 23

Confirmed through an Instagram advert released by EA, Manchester City’s Number 9 Erling Haaland makes it as the first player item to feature in the Ones to Watch promo in FIFA 23, an announcement that may not have come as a surprise to most people. Playing for Manchester City, Haaland’s OTW card certainly seems to be bound for some upgrades throughout the year!

There are certainly many other transfers this summer who will most probably be part of the OTW Teams. Though no other player has been announced or confirmed by EA, there are certainly some prediction as to who else will join Haaland. Players such as Antonio Rüdiger, Darwin Nuñez, Robert Lewandowski, Gabriel Jesus and Sadio Mane are all part of the predictions. The event starts on September 30 and closes on October 12, so make sure not to miss out on the window!
