Duke was not happy about the situation and confronted Adin about it. He claimed he was not offended by it, but Adin should not be able to say the word.

However, the reason he was declined entry into the group was bizarre. He revealed that AMP member Duke was very straight with him and told him that he couldn’t be a part of the group because he was white.

“If you had the opportunity to leave SSB, would you leave for AMP?”

Silky’s question to Adin

Although AMP has all African American members, nobody knew it was planned. Furthermore, Adin cleared the air and claimed that he didn’t mind it and that he didn’t have any bad blood with Duke.

“No. I wanted to be in AMP, though. They just said, ‘No, you’re white.'” I swear to god. Literally, I talked to Duke off-camera and he’s like, ‘You’re White. No.’ Swear to god! It’s okay – I love Duke. Yeah, I swear to god. That’s all good. Duke knows.”

Adin’s answer

He further added that he in fact loves Duke and claimed that everything is good between them. Silky and Adin’s fans were shocked by Adin’s answer.

Furthermore, Fans thought that this behaviour was racist and that if the roles were reversed it would be way worse. Some people even called the whole AMP group racist.
