With VCT 2023 ending with Evil Geniuses taking home the world championship, players cannot wait for the next season of the tournament. However, multiple tournaments run off-season to keep us entertained and thrilled. One of these is the popular AfreecaTV Valorant League, which is starting very soon.

The AfreecaTV Valorant League is organised by AfreecaTV and is one of the biggest off-season tournaments in competitive Valorant. The competition will occur in the Afreeca Colosseum from December 5th to December 10th, 2023. This year, the Afreeca TV Valorant League will feature 8 invited teams from 6 different countries.

The tournament begins with a group stage, with each group comprising 4 teams. All matches are played in a best-of-3 format, with the top 2 teams qualifying for the playoffs from each group. The playoffs are a single-elimination bracket consisting of the semi-finals and the finals. The semi-finals are played in a best-of-3 format, whereas the finals are a best-of-5.

Prize Pool & Participants

The AfreecaTV Valorant League tournament will feature $80,000 for players to take home. The first-place team wins $25,000, and runner-ups will get $15,000. The third and fourth-place teams get to take home $10,000 each. There are a total of 8 teams participating in the tournament, split into two groups each. Schedule

AfreecaTV Valorant League group stage is set to start from December 5-8. The playoffs will carry on for the next two days, with the tournament culminating on December 10th, 2023. The games begin at 9 am GMT for the group stages and 6 am GMT on playoff days. Here is the schedule and match-ups for the group stages –

    • Sentinels vs Paper Rex (Dec 5, 9 am GMT)
    • Full Sense vs DRX (Dec 5, 12 pm GMT)

The next round of the group stage begins on December 7th, 6 am GMT, for which the teams will be decided after the first round.

Where to Watch

You can catch all the action on AfreecaTV, where the broadcast’s English, Korean, and Thai versions will be live. The Chinese version of the broadcast takes place on Douyu. The streams start roughly 30 minutes before the day’s first scheduled match and are live until the day is concluded.
