Amouranth is a popular streamer and the most dominant “e-girl” streamer for a long time. On April 13 she announces that she was taking retirement from being an e-girl, and decided to create a new kind of content.
She was the top streamer in the hot tub meta of twitch, she gets the success that no one else got in the mare time. Amouranth become the most-watched streamer because of the hot tub meta. But after announcing that she not going to do more as an “e-girl” her decision raises many questions. And she explained the reason behind it.

Amouranth explained why she is quitting being an e-girl
At first, she talks about the different kinds of content that she brings in the future after quitting being an e-girl. “I have to optimize for being the entertaining part of Amouranth,” “ I know she’s in there because people think I’m funny on collaborations.”
“I have to optimize for that instead of farming [people who want that content] because, for the past few years, the strategy has been farming and converting them to my other social media”.
“It’s going to be more about growing the audience so that one day I can actually have an audience that will have hopefully at least an average attention span so I can educate them and make an impact with my animal sanctuary goals.”. After talking about the new content then she explains what made her quit:
“That’s part of the reason why I want to retire from the e-girl stuff. It’s a constant grind. That’s where a lot of my time goes. Make sure I have enough conversion to other paid platforms.”
“It’s been really hard to increase the quality and entertainment value of my Twitch stream to appeal to more of a mainstream audience while I’ve been so focused on doing things that definitely don’t appeal to that at all.”
“It’s hard to switch while I’m on these other platforms doing all kinds of questionable things. It’s really hard to go back and forth because they just require different sides of you in different outputs of time.”
However, it’s interesting to see that amouranth what kind of content she is bringing, and what her fans whether like it or not would we see.
