Are FIFA 23 servers still down? When does the maintenance end?

Fifa 23 server maintenance was extended by a few hours before the latest title update.

Due to a scheduled maintenance, FIFA 23 servers were down on January 12, 2023. This led to the community failing to claim their Division Rivals rewards in Ultimate Team this Thursday. The servers were down on all platforms and the companion app.

As fans await the release of TOTY, the developers have deployed a new patch to hit the servers. The servers were offline for a number of hours on January 12, which caused the community some inconveniences.

All the online game modes were made unavailable due to the server downtime. Players could log on to FIFA 23 without an internet connection to experience Career Mode and other offline game modes during this time.

Server maintenance time and title update

EA Sports took to Twitter to inform the community about the FIFA 23 server downtime. It was later increased, which caused panic amongst the community, but everything calmed down once the servers were back up. FIFA Ultimate Team players had the worst time as this was the usual time of the week for them to claim their Division Rivals rewards.

The servers were initially meant to be offline from 5 am to 1 pm UTC, but was extended till 3 pm on January 12 as the developers stated on Twitter. The matchmaking servers were shut down 30 minutes prior to the scheduled maintenance so that players did not disconnect during an online game. The title update was released after the maintenance and has taken effect on all platforms and the FUT companion app.

Match creation will be disabled 30 min prior to the maintenance.

After the server downtime, the official title update 6 has gone live. This update has made changes that were required before the release of Team of the Year. Changes made in the update have nerfs and buffs that the community have longed for ever since the last update. The game is now active and EA Sports will let their fans know about any future server downtimes.
