One True King (OTK) has dropped the first episode for the Steak and Eggs podcast. The inaugural episode comprised of the co-owners Asmongold, Emiru, and notable content creator Tectone.

They discussed miscellaneous topics such as the future of AI streaming and their opinions on current video games. At the 1-hour mark of the podcast, the members stumbled upon the most important question, “Twitch or YouTube.” Emiru presented this question to Asmongold and he provided his answer without thinking twice.

“If I had to pick one I had to do for the rest of my life, always, I would do YouTube,” said Asmon while adding that he hates the Twitch chat culture. As Emiru demanded an explanation, he described, “Oh, wow. This is a cool new joke. Let’s type it 400 times.’ And then, ‘Oh man, let’s [play] Marco Polo. You say this word, I say this emote. How clever and funny.’”

Asmongold went on to say even though the chat predictability somehow gives him a control, he doesn’t like it general. “There are so many weird things that people do on Twitch. It’s so weird,” he concluded. At this point, Emiru agreed that there are more “weirdos” on Twitch than YouTube.

Is Asmongold planning to switch platforms?

Asmongold started streaming on Twitch in 2014 playing World of Warcraft, that is quite rare in the mainstream culture. This helped him gain a significant popularity on the platform which has now given him 3.3 million followers.

Despite being a huge critic of the controversies on Twitch, Asmongold has continued to stream on the platform. Even in the last year when YouTube a large shift of Twitch streamers to its platform, the OTK content creator didn’t hint on any such plans.

However, his recent statements regarding the Twitch chat culture indicates that he might shift to YouTube in the near future. Asmon won’t suffer in terms of viewership though, as he has already established his community on the Google-owned platform.

Fan reactions

The Steak and Eggs podcast is off to a good start as fans are providing overwhelming reactions to the episode. They remark that this is the best trio ever seen in OTK.

Asmongold is currently playing Hogwarts Legacy with some other RPGs. Simultaneously, he has been lashing out at the people who are harassing streamers for playing the video game.
