“Risk of abuse and bullying”: Asmongold talks about minors using social media

Asmongold

Asmongold is a YouTuber and Twitch streamer from the United States who is well-known for his participation in the online role-playing game World of Warcraft. He is the cofounders of the One True King, a collective of streamers and online content makers. What makes Asmongold so special is the fact that he has strong opinions on issues and is not afraid to say them out loud.

The streamer tweeted his concerns about young people utilizing the social media on October 20, 2022. People under the age of 18 shouldn’t create accounts on any social media platforms, in his opinion, as there is always a chance that they may become the target of bullying and harassment. He asserts that it harms minors psychologically.

How can the benefits of social media outweigh the drawbacks for young people is a conundrum that Asmongold appears to be facing.
