Hogwarts Legacy has been out for almost a week on PC and next-gen consoles. Players have been enjoying the open-world RPG. It let fans enjoy and explore the magical world of Harry Potter which they always adored. Devs did a fantastic job in replicating the Wizarding World created by J.K. Rowling and have added very cool features in Hogwarts Legacy. Players also come across some easter eggs from the Harry Potter movie like Chamber of Secrets or Severus Snape’s doll etc.

It was earlier confirmed that the players using PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch have to wait till they get their hands on Hogwarts Legacy. But now, these players have to wait a little more. Previously, the release date for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One was April 4, 2023. However, Warner Bros Games developers Avalanche Software has delayed this date to May 5, 2023. This means that players have to wait an extra month till they can ride on the broom in Hogwarts Legacy.

Players with last-gen consoles were already feeling left out, and now this delay will definitely disappoint them more.

Devs reported this delay through a tweet from Hogwarts Legacy‘s official Twitter handle. They said,

We’re overwhelmed with gratitude for the response to Hogwarts Legacy from fans around the globe. The team is working hard to deliver the best possible experience on all platforms and we need more time to do this. Hogwarts Legacy will launch for PS4 and Xbox One on May 5, 2023.

The title itself witnessed a number of delays. It was supposed to be released in 2021 but was delayed to 2022, and then devs again delayed it to 10 February 2023.

Since the consoles are getting older and the game is fairly technically demanding, it is yet unknown how the game will perform on PS4 and Xbox One. One can anticipate that there will be an increase in loading screens to break up the game’s amazing and seamless open environment. However, It is evident that they are working tirelessly to prepare the game for release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.

When Hogwarts Legacy was first released on the PC, many gamers complained about malfunctions and other technical problems. Fortunately, devs responded to the majority of the issues across all platforms with later patches and changes. According to SteamDB, it presently has a peak concurrent player count of around 880k people and a “Very Positive” rating.
