Krafton had recently released the much anticipated 1.8 update for the players which had brought Aftermath mode in BGMI along with the Spiderman game mode. While it was expected that players will focus more on the Spiderman mode, they are equally enjoying the Aftermath mode as well.

Adding advanced equipment for the players has been in a trend ever since the 1.5 update had changed the whole appearance of the game. Now, the developers have brought another futuristic game mode for the players. Aftermath mode in BGMI can be played only in the Livik map as of now. The gameplay setting consists of a post-apocalyptic world where players can the eruption of volcanoes in certain locations of Livik. The idea of unranked matches was given in the 1.5 update itself, however, all of the unranked matches were locked. Much to the delight of the players, BGMI 1.8 Update has brought a whole new UI and separate ranked and unranked matches. The new mode can be played in Unranked matches, therefore, players do not need to worry about their tier points.

AC core module

All the firearms in Aftermath mode are equipped with AC core module which helps to reduce the recoil of the weapons as well as provide better aim assist. This feature has certainly been beneficial for the players who are entering into the battlegrounds as a fresher.

Ziplines can be found spread in different locations of the Livik map in the Aftermath mode. Players can use the ziplines to travel faster around the map. The locations of the ziplines are marked in the map through straight lines, players just need to reach those locations and tap on the zipline option to ride it and travel around.

Riot Shields look quite similar to the Gloo walls which are present in Free Fire. Although riot shields were introduced in the 1.5 update, the Aftermath mode in BGMI consists of a wide riot shield that can fit 3 players at a time easily. These shields are very effective in open areas.

Players should not miss out on this new mode as various rewards will be given once players enter and play this mode.
