Best house in Hogwarts Legacy: Which house should you pick?
You can choose whatever house you like best in Hogwarts Legacy.

Houses are an integral part of the experience at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. When novices enter Hogwarts, they are sorted into one of the four houses, i.e., Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw. In the Harry Potter movies, Miss Mcgonagall puts the Sorting Hat on the students’ heads. The sorting hat assigns the house. In the Hogwarts Legacy, the process of picking a house is different.
There are two ways through which players get sorted in houses in Hogwarts Legacy. One is through the simple quiz in the game. Another one is through linking your Harry Potter Fanclub account. Based on the community and fans’ opinions, first is great for picking your favorite house, but if you want the authentic experience you should take the quiz on Harry Potter Fanclub.
You should pick your favorite house in Hogwarts Legcay. However, there are a few significant distinctions that players need to be aware of.

Best House in Hogwarts Legacy

There isn’t really a definitive “best house” in Hogwarts Legacy. Your house does not affect the main story. There don’t seem to be any established perks, bonuses, or exclusive companions that are restricted to a single home. In fact, regardless of your house, you’ll be able to interact with 5th-year students from all of the houses, go on quests with them, and even form groups with them. Some of these 5th-year students will even have their own questlines that are independent of your house. However, your house will alter some aspects of your playing experience:
- The location of each common room is different. You can’t enter other houses’ common rooms. The common rooms for Gryffindor and Ravenclaw are each located in the founder’s tower. Slytherin’s Common room is located in the dungeons. Lastly, the Hufflepuff common room is connected to a corridor that goes towards the kitchen.
- If you know about Harry Potter, you must know that the color scheme of every house is different. Your uniform will feature these colors:
- Gryffindor – Red and Gold
- Slytherin – Green and Silver
- Ravenclaw – Blue and Bronze
- Hufflepuff – Yellow and black
- There are a few house-specific Side Quests available as well, including one that enables Hufflepuffs to briefly visit Azkaban.
- You will also be accompanied by different companions:
- Gryffindor – Natsai “Natty” Onai
- Slytherin – Sebastian Sallow
- Ravenclaw – Amit Thakkar
- Hufflepuff – Poppy Sweeting
