Apart from knowing the winner of BMPS, Battlegrounds Mobile India players have also ardently been waiting for the upcoming BGMI 2.0 update which could be dropping by anytime soon. Judging from the pre released patch notes, it seems like Krafton will also incorporate some similar elements.
Battlegrounds Mobile India is nearing towards its completion of one year anniversary and it is certainly a huge feat for Indian gamers. With over 80 million downloads and several accolades, this game can compete at par with every other battle-roylale out there.

BGMI 2.0 update expected release date
Krafton follows almost the similar strategy used by Tencent while releasing updates after every two months. The last update in the game around the middle week of March where the main focus was kept on the 4th Anniversary of PUBG Mobile and some occasional collaborations.
According to prominent YouTubers, the BGMI 2.0 update could be seen on 13th-15th May if the update work is conducted on time. The fourth round of BMOC commences from tomorrow, therefore, the news of the upcoming patch can be announced within the next two days. The update time can however differ for Android and iOS users.
New features
Tencent had released the patch notes for PUBG Mobile 2.0 update which can provide the players with a basic idea as to what they can expect from the BGMI 2.0 update.
Official Livik map
As the 1.0 update had brought a revamped Erangel map, players will be able to witness the official version of Livik, one of the smallest maps in the game that features 52 players only. The new Livik map will consist of various urbanized locations, a new vehicle that can fit the terrain of Livik as well as interesting gameplay mechanics like ziplines, XT weapon shops and more.
Evangelion collaboration
BGMI 2.0 update will feature a new gameplay mode which is the result of the game’s collaboration with a popular Japanese animated series, Neon Genesis Evangelion. Players can also obtain exclusive suits that were previously given during the collaboration with Jujutsu Kiasen.
Emergency Pickup feature
A new gameplay mechanic will be added to the BGMI 2.0 update in classic matches. Players will be able to use a crate named Emergency pickup that can summon a rescue plane and take the player to the middle of the playzone. The pickup feature can be sued with other teammates as well.
Several other features will be added to the upcoming BGMI 2.0 update which are certainly going to make gameplay a lot more easier. Players should keep an eye on the official BGMI channels to track the update announcement.
